If your dry cleaner is claiming to be “organic” he is probably using Hydrocarbon, a petroleum based solvent that. Hydrocarbon is a VOC (volatile organic compound) that contributes to smog formation. Because all carbon-based chemicals are technically organic, including gasoline, consumers are being intentionally misled.
GreenEarth, or silicone, is a dry cleaning alternative that is truly 100% environmentally friendly. Silicone is the same ingredient used in shampoos and body lotions and has no environmental concerns, because it is made from pure liquefied sand. GreenEarth Cleaning is isn’t just good for the earth, its good for your clothes, because it is so gentle. And its good for your nose, because you will no longer have to put up with “dry cleaning” odor.
Don’t be Greenwashed! When you see cleaners advertising “environmentally friendly”, ask them what process they are using. If it isn’t GreenEarth Cleaning, it probably isn’t truly green.
